I am really grateful for a buddy of mine who alerted me to this website. I believe there is another DS Max company in the DC area called Cap Concepts (different owner and different office from Cor Concepts) that opened in northern VA.

I was suspicious of the company because I contacted them through their website and asked for more information on the jobs they were advertising on Craigslist. Even though I didn't even send my resume, I got this email back:

------
Dear Mike,
Re: Online Application
Thank you for taking the time to send us your resume. We have reviewed your qualifications and are interested in scheduling a one-on-one preliminary interview with you and our hiring managers here. Your experience and background seem to have provided you with potential marketing skills. During your interview, we will discuss our promotional marketing work, account management, advertising campaigns, client base, growth and expansion, and most importantly advancement opportunities within our company. These openings are immediate, and full time with some internship positions still available. Please call our scheduling manager at (703)734-6777 within 1-2 business days of receiving this as we have limited positions that we are looking to fill this week. You should also bring in a hard copy of your resume, and professional dress is preferable. We have included directions at the bottom of this sheet, as well as our website addresses to assist you in finding our office. Once again, thank you and we look forward to meeting you!

Best Regards,
Amanda Spathis

I thought it was weird and mentioned it to my friend, who told me it sounded like another company he had had a bad experience with via his ex-girlfriend. I did some googling, found this site, and sure enough Cap Concepts had the same ads on like every job site imaginable. I am 99% sure this is another Cydcor-like company.

I see that there is a place called Cor Concepts. They are both in McLean, VA but have 2 different addresses and 2 different owners. Just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention.

AUTHOR: Jen2697 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 11, 2009

After running into all of these reports online, and thinking back to when I worked for this place. WE need to come together and file a class action lawsuit against these people. For unfair treatment, mental and physical abuse, unsafe work conditions.... all of us

Armon Hatcher is not a bad guy BUT...

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Armon is deep-down a good person. He is kind and generous. However, his brain has been twisted by DS-Max propaganda. I worked with him for nearly a year when his office was in Ohio and know the guy well. I even travelled to L.A. with him. But the fact of the matter is .00000001% of the people make it in this line of work. And the farther along you get in the company the worse off you actually are. I have more information posted on this website just search search for DK promotions.

#5 Consumer Comment

This company is just another scam

AUTHOR: Amanda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 31, 2008

This company is just another cult company like the others listed here on this website. I wasted my time, gas, and money thinking that this was a legit opportunity for a job. Fortunately I only did the interviews and never actually worked for this company. The interviews were bad enough!

The job ad on craigslist read "SPORTS MARKETING ENTRY LEVEL JOB COLLEGE STUDENTS WANTED" & I emailed them my resume and immediately received the same email stated above.

In the lobby there were about 5-10 kids waiting. I walked into the offices and noticed there wasn't much on the desks or shelves. The place looked brand new.

In the actual interview it was as if Armon Hatcher ("big NFL star"..yea right, noone knows who that is), owner/ leader of the company, was rehearsing a script that he tells to everyone in order to persuade them that this is the best thing they have ever come across. He told me that only a few of us would be selected to work for the company and he felt I was a perfect fit and wanted me to join the team. He said I would be a perfect candidate for "Public Relations" (Which is what I have listed as my degree in my resume). Of course, I was excited and agreed to come back the next day to shadow the account manager. He told me to wear professional dress and to wear flats (no heals). Which I thought was weird.

I come the next day early in the morning only to wait over an hour in the lobby with the same kids from the day before...(select few?..bull!) While waiting, it was as if a pep rally was going on, some sort of chanting ritual they do to get 'pumped up' every morning (I've read on this website that the company does that to get their employees excited about their job). Cult!

Well it comes to find out that I wasn't shadowing an account manager at all, I was going door to door with other kids my age trying soliciting some stupid coupon package for free oil changes (no wonder I had to wear flats!!). This obviously is not sports marketing (as listed in the job ad), or public relations (as I was told I was going to be doing). The team would barge into doctor's offices and interrupt people that were working hard doing a real job or in important conferences. We would go into buildings that said "NO SOLICITING" which I thought was very rude and unprofessional.
Anyway- I was told I got the job and to come in on Monday to start. He told me to "Keep my 'gameface' on since he didn't want to give up hope to others waiting in the lobby." Psh. yyyea right.

Fortunately, all of my friends knew this wasn't right so I googled the company's name. Right under their website is the link to this page. RIP OFF is RIGHT!

It's embarassing to believe that I fell victim to this marketing company scam. It's scary to think there are so many of these droid/cult companies out here in this area. Cor cocepts is just the same as this. Please read up about Cydcor, Titan, Elite Marketing, or any others, they are just the same.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF APPLYING OR CONSIDERING WORKING FOR CAP

Some people have lost apartments, cars, family, and relationships due to the long hard hours they work (10-8, but can lead to 11pm at times...Saturday is a workday?!?). Do not fall victim to this company (or any others). I feel sorry for anyone that works there or any of the kids I interviewed with that didn't realize this wasn't right! This is so bad there are even healing websites dedicated to this issue!

Good Luck to everyone! Do not become brainwashed!!

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

That is crazy that you believed this guy

AUTHOR: A - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 08, 2008

The league minimum in 2000 when he played 4 games was 193,000. This the most he could have made since he was undrafted as a rookie. They ended up sending him to play in the NFL Europe for the Admirals. NFL Europe players make about 50,000 at most. If he really told you he made millions and you believed him I feel very sorry for you. Secondly, there is no record of him ever leaving the game because of an injury. Chances are he got dropped by an NFL team but in order to convince people and himself that he was really good he says he got injured. Wake up

#1 UPDATE Employee

Not a scam!

AUTHOR: Samantha - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 04, 2008

The owner of the company is Armon Hatcher. He used to be a proffessional football player in the NFL. He got injured and couldn't play anymore. He started at the very bottom of the company and worked himself up to a manager. If this was a "scam" like everyone says, why would a NFL player who already made millions start with this company? THEN make his way to the top? LOL... Come on people... A pyramid scam you have to PAY money.. Not make it.
