Capital One Credit Card Company Capital One CC Refusing to Cooperate in Fraud Account Open Without My Knowlege or Consent!!!! Salt Lake City Utah

I was contacted at the beginning of March by Capital One regarding a charge that was put on a credit card that they wanted me to verify and give approval for, a credit card that I had NEVER opened or had knowlegdge of. They refused to give me any information on the account, said they were protecting the person's rights! What rights, this is a card they are holding ME responsible when I had no knowlege of!!! They did their supposed "investigation" no investigation at all because they are holding me liable for just under $3,000.oo worth of charges that I had no part of.

I have called on daily basis, written numerous letters with evidence as to my writing and an ex-boyfriends denial for a credit card that I suspected he had opened fraudently to no avail. I am constantly put on hold and transferred to a representative that's handling my account, only to never reach anyone and to always have to leave voicemails and never getting return calls even though their voicemail states they will call back in 24-48 hours. Meanwhile their collections dept. is calling me on a daily basis and I end up arguing with them for 20 minutes explaining the situation and getting the round around, and of course they never put me through to a supervisor. I have a police report done on this case as it turns out my suspecions were true and it WAS my exboyfriend that opened this account fraudently without my knowledge or consent and yet they still are holding me liable and I can't get any response to my phone calls or letters!!!!

Never in my life have I had to deal with such a runaround!!!!!!! I'm beyond exsapserated and dumbfounded as to what I can do to make sure they get this handled and stop runing my credit!!!!
