i bought a 2001 mazda millenia about 3 weeks ago in linden, nj and heve not been able to enjoy it because i've only driven it a handful of times, all of which to the mechanic. i was given a warranty and guaranteed inspection.
immediately after getting it home it began to have problems like stalling, and the airbag and check engine lights came on. my mechanic said it needed a supercharger ($3,500). took it back to car complex, where they took it to their mechanic who agreed it was the supercharger. they assured me i could fix the problem with a part from e-bay and gave me the money to purchase it, which we did so it could go to inspection,
but it has the same problem with the e-bay supercharger. the warranty company won't pay for anything, i'm out of $6,200 paid for the car, plus an additional $1,000 from the mechanic last week, it still can't go through inspection because i can't even drive it there and car complex says big deal.
how is it fair or legal to sell someone a $6,200 car with a $3,500 problem? they had to know about it because they said they drove it home every night from the lot so it would not get stolen.
my husband and i are both full-time students with two small children and stressed to them the importance of a safe reliable car to get the family to and from school and work, and are out of money for another car or more repairs.

in the 22 months that i've owned the car, i ended up putting about $18,000 (so far) into. that's not even counting the catalytic converters it needs now. massad and his father over at car complex also guaranteed inspection. after 2 years, it hasn't passed yet. i can't even get a 2 year waiver because the d**n thing fails for emissions, and hell no, car complex does not care. no inspection and no help after a new engine, new supercharger, new axles, new gas pump and new air hoses. next i need new catalytic converters. all that out of my own pocket because the crappy warranty the car came with PAID FOR NOTHING.
BUYER, BEWARE!!! if you don't believe it, contact the better business bureau and the department of consumer affairs on halsey street in newark. there ARE complaints against them, mine included. They are totally dishonest and uncooperative and this has been the worst experience of my life. i regret the day i ever laid eyes on their lot.
