Car Loan LLC Car Title Loan or Title Pawn Rarotonga Cook Islands

 After doing research I learned that Car Title Loans were not legal in the state of NC. I also saw where there are suits out

there against Car Loan LLC and also where they are being investigated for defrauding customers.  

I contacted Car Loan LLC and questioned this information.  I was advised that Car Loan LLC was not licensed in the state 
of NC however, that they were acting by international laws and were not held to the NC state laws.  
Initially when I obtained my title loan it was with Sovereign Lending Solutions however, they went under and my loan 
was then taken over by Car Loan LLC which is out of the country in the Cook Islands.  The fact that I am sending monthly 
payments of $292 to another country on a loan that may or may not be legal makes me uneasy.  I had a contract with 
Sovereign Lending Solutions not Car Loan LLC.  I have never received paperwork showing that the name had changed.  
Come to think of it I have never received any paperwork period from this business.   

I have paid over $4,000 for this title loan and the primary balance is unchanged.  When I questioned Car Loan LLC about 
car title loans not being legal in NC I was then advised that I did not get a car title loan but rather a title pawn.  I was never 
advised of a title pawn.  When I asked for a  copy of my application they refused to send a copy to me.  I was advised by a 
manager who also would not provide me with his name that he would put my title in a file and let it rot.  Car Loan LLC has 
been taking automatic withdrawals from my checking account and I have since learned they also cannot do this.
