IO took my car to Car Spar on Holland road in Virginia Beach in June of 2001 for a routine oil change and wash. 2 days my oil change my vehicle would not start, the vehicle would occasionally stay running for a short period of time before stalling out and would blow white smoke. After being diagnosed by my mechanic he stated that the oil change was not done properly and they left a build up that caused my oil rings to become stuck. I called auto spa and spoke with Mike the manager and he stated he would speak to my mechanic and call me back. after an hour he returned my call and stated that my mechanic told him everything and that he did not feel they were responsible that they use the same oil in every car and there is nothing he can do. I am now seeking legal and media action to handle this! Do not go to Auto Spa they will destroy your engine and leave you with the bill!

They didnt put enough oil back in, which overheated the engine, which blew the head gasket.

Oil helps cool an engine ya know, plus helps to keep in running.

Master Mechanic Jim here

White smoke is most probably a bad head gasket, I see No way that an oil change could cause that.

Probably Nothing that they did.

Most likely problem

From what you describe the car has a blown head gasket.  Which can cuase the car to stall and blow white smoke which is an indication of coolant getting into the cylinders.

An oil change would not cause this and if your mechanic told you it was due to the oil not being done properly and a build up being left I would suggest you find a new mechanic.

You'll need a better explanation.

After being diagnosed by my mechanic he stated that the oil change was not done properly and they left a build up that caused my oil rings to become stuck."

That explanation makes absolutely no sense.  What does "they left a build up that caused my oil rings to become stuck" mean?

When your oil is changed, the old oil is drained through the oil pan, the filter is replaced and new oil is poured into the crankcase.   It's that simple.    You need to find out what part of the above procedure they did not do correctly.  The explanation you gave sounds like meaningless double talk.
