My husband and I took our Honda Passport in to CarX because the check engine light was on, they called the next day and told us the truck needed a Mass Air Flow Sensor, a vacuum line replaced, oil change and a coolant system refilled. They did the job which cost $431 that day which was the 3/11/08. About 2 hours later when my husband gets home in truck he tells me the check engine light was back on and he smelled gas. When we opened the hood of the truck to check what was going on, we see that the oil tank cap was sitting on the battery and that engine oil was all over everything!!! I took the truck back in the next day on 3/12 I left it with them and later on that day the mechanic called and told me that the truck was ready to be picked up, he had cleaned off the oil and refilled it and he also said he found out why the check engine light was back on, he told me that while he was changing the first vacuum line he had accidentally cracked another line. When I went to pickup the truck the owner comes running out to my truck before I could ever park, he gives me my paperwork and tells me the work is done, I ask if next time I come in could I get a discount or free oil change for all the inconvenience, he says "no" I asked why not considering I was just in here yesterday and that because of the mistake that was made by THEM, I had to take my husband to work at 5 in the morning, pick him back up, which is about 45 min. there and back, " and we all know how expensive gas is now" BUY oil to put in the truck (mind you I just had an oil change the day before) and the fact that by the cap being left off, our engine could have been totally destroyed and could have caught on FIRE!! He said no again than begins to tell me that he had already given me the new vacuum line...so I told him that the mechanic had already told me that HE had broke it and that's why it was replaced, NOT because he was doing me a favor, so he really got pissed and said the mechanic doesnt know what he's talking about, "who else would know better than the person who did the work," and than he said well I'm still not doing it. So I want other people to beware of this guy Terry Wood. And if there are any lawyers out there with some advice for me please get in contact with me. Thanks
