This is an interesting website, and an interesting Rip-Off report. I can't claim that www.carbuyingtips.com ripped me off because they werent the actual persons to take my money. However, I was lead to the devel by the company who appears to be so innocent. Carbuyingtips.com just like the car dealerships they condem. They don't really care about the customers or the scams they help expose. They are in it for the money like all the rest of them, Wouldnt they pay careful attention and really care who they're recommending? What they do is slam other companies, use scar tactics to scare us consumers, then, the link us to their affiliates, who I'm sure pay them a very nice commission. At least the car dealers stand in front of you when they are ripping you off. www.carbuyingtips.com is using customer advocacy to lure in people, just so they can link them to the scamsters. I purchased a warranty from one of their linked companies and guess what? It covers nothing that was promised and I was sold a bunch of junk. I want to add to the Jeff BS Ometer. He is just a slimey snake oil salesman who is good with a computer. www.carbuyingtips.com are fruads!

Do you have a real problem to describe or did you just come here to slander?

AUTHOR: Jeff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 23, 2010

freecitizen, I was wondering why you did not contact us directly if you encountered a problem with a warranty mentioned on our site? Instead you just foolishly came here, the complete opposite direction to solve your problem, ranted moaned and whined about nothing, and left a vague probably untruthful complaint that no one can tell what the real problem is, then proceeded to slander our web sites long established good name and personally call me a fraud.

I can tell you Im quite the opposite. Not only do I receive contact from people whom we have saved from many sales scams, I also personally saved people millions of dollars from internet fraud on eBay, Yahoo, Autotrader, Western Union scams, MoneyGram, etc. I have been worked with the FBI and Secret Service after shutting down numerous fraudulent escrow sites. Clearly the information on our site does not match your bogus claims of fraud. In fact our site is so good at consumer advocacy, our content is stolen and copied all the time from people who want to make money off our hard work.

Being a consumer advocate and preventing fraud is in my blood. Here you come along now, going online to other web sites using a false name and stating false gossip, which is a felony, and violates Gods law as well, which explains why you're hiding behind a fake name, while I'm here with my real name.

Now if you have a legitimate complaint, please respond back here with the following:

1) The warranty company you have an issue with, and your policy number
2) The Year/Make/Model and mileage of your car
3) When you filed your claim and who you spoke with
4) A short detailed description of your problem with no curse words or emotional interjection. Jus the facts of what happened
5) The reason they gave for rejecting your claim
6) What was your out of pocket loss

Then we can review the contract you purchased from them and see if anything can be worked out, or if your repair is really not covered by the contract. Some consumers dont understand their contract, so when a repair is not covered, they immediately want to blame everyone in the world other than themselves for not buying the right contract. Some consumers have a problem submitting to the fact that the repair is just not covered by their contract.

If you choose not to respond, then we can assume this matter to be closed, and written off as a bogus plant from one of those trolling Online Reputation Management companies who like to find complaints about you online, and charge you a fee to have bad items about your company removed from online consumer complaint sites like this.

I can assure you we are indeed consumer advocates, and what separates our site from many others is we do have a Contact Us form and you can ask us questions and we step in to help consumers all the time. We resolve issues that people have all the time with all the companies that we mention on our site.

We don't allow companies on our site that won't allow us to liaison between them and the consumer. I would also like to point out something else that you don't realize in your anger and zeal to trash my good name; I receive calls and emails every week from warranties that want to mentioned on my site and I reject them and put up with some nasty language from them afterwards. So you can be sure by time a company is on our site they are the best you can get.

What caused your problem? Maybe you fell through some crack, I don't know. Maybe there was a failure on your car that is not covered by the warranty, so you're mad at them, at me, at the world for it, I don't know. Maybe you, like many other consumers, bought the wrong coverage package, now you're mad at the rest of the world, at me, I just don't know.

The bottom line is until you sober up, collect your thoughts, focus on the exact details and post them here, instead of lashing out at the world like a jilted schoolgirl, we'll never know what's wrong. Your problem will never be solved, and you'll go around angry and posting foolish posts all over the internet. It could be your problem is solvable, but we won't know until you report back here. We'd love to help you get through this, maybe it's still salvageable.

I might suggest to you that in the future you not be such a hot head and posting slanderous statements like this before contacting the parties involved and in a professional manner clearly describe the problem and the details so that you get a timely solution to your problem. Don't forget, you and I are judged equally in God's eyes, we are both sinners. You and I are no better than Adolph Hitler, no better than Timothy McVie, we are viewed as one and the same; fallen man. You are not better than me or anyone else, and should not be judging and slandering others when you're in the same boat as the rest of us.
