I had to by a car post haste due to losing my job, etc.., so that way I can look for new employment in August 2007. They had this "amazing" deal 39 and a job, so my husband had the job and income, granted we had to do what we had to we went in knowing the note and apr would be high not an issue.
Not even a week later my car is making a loud screeching noise, i take it to this place they use , the fix it shop states just a bad belt and they change it i go on my way. I get a job about 30 miles from home. On my way to work on a saturday on i94 the car begins to make a weird loud noise, this happens in November, i pull over, there was not another exit for 4 miles, and i had just passed the last one for my city.
mind you i heard strange noise the day before, but the place was close. i make it to the next small town, a guy helps add oil but he stated that was not the problem, he adds some lubricate so i can make it home, could not get to the shop til monday
comes to find out engine went totally bad, they tried to blaim me claimed no oil, advised i have not even went over my 3k for a change, they had my car for close to a month, finally gets fixed with a supposedly new engine... found out not a new engine, they claim my warrenty denied the claim and would not fix it that carcity covered the damages, clled warrenty co, they fixed car total about 1700 dollars, told them my invoice only shows 700.00 including parts and deductible
two months later my gears are slipping i make it to work, get it towed back home, get my rental and car fixed trans gone done in about a week... no problems
now not even a year the loud screech comes back, the air compression system failing, thought my warrenty covers claims that they only offered power train when i signed up, advised that i was supposed to be given the warrenty that covers every thing.
now i cant afford to keep the car, and get it fixed due to being scammed with this lemon. what can i do to either get out of this or sue because they were supposed to fix in the first place

I have been with Car City for over 15 years. This company helps people everyday who have bad credit or no credit. Unlike a Buy Here Pay Here lot, Car City reports to the credit bureaus so their customers can re-build their credit and get better financing once they have finished their loan. The owner is a very generous guy who donates thousands of dollars every year to help people out. He gave a Free car to the WGRD break in christmas giveaway. He knows that fixing cars is expensive, which is why all the cars sold a Car City have a Free Warranty. Like the guy said the warranty company wouldn't pay for the engine (because it was ran out of oil) so Car City paid for it. Out of their pocket. This kind of thing happens frequently. The people that work here know that cars break so we try to do everything we can to make sure the cars are good before they leave and to continue to help 6, 7, 12, 24 months down the road. I have seen it a thousand times, a customer will come in and they didn't maintain their car so car city will fix the car at their cost. They don't mark up the cost at all. No other dealership does that. This is one person who wanted Car City to maintain their vehicle and fix it if they break it. Car City does alot for their customers but they can't fix every little thing that a customer has a problem with.
