Ok - I am back again.

Career Network and the Internet Company - re: a position called Job Scout

Scam.

I have <belatedly> done a lot of research on Career Network because of the Internet Company.  I responded to an ad for a Job Scout, and had to call in for a phone interview.  No interview.

Instead, it was a pre-recorded message from Rob.  There have been other reports about Dave, I guess I'm just special.  Same MO however.  Go to the website, put in the password (start), and view a 21 page power point presentation.

They have happy hour, dinners, feed the poor, buy school supplies for children, complete with backpacks!  You "see" all the friendly faces of the staff - happy and wonderful looking people.  Kind of odd though - all the Admin people were wearing the (?) uniform - black shirts and blue jeans?

Received this follow-up e-mail - so beware!

Odd thing about both of these "companies."  Of all the positions I have applied for with them, I have yet to be directed to 1 real company website.  I think you just keep putting in your information on the same website repeatedly.

When you're desperate - you will do anything.  From now on, I am going to check, double-check and triple-check all other "agencies."

Oh yes - one last word ... On the PP slide show, they showed lots of legitimate companies with logos - but on "JobNab" - they actually had that one misspelled - "JobNap" - guess it's just a little inside humor.

I used to proofread, so catch little things like that all the time.

Please be careful.  I have not received one single interview from any of the "applications" I have filled out with Career Network.  I even had one e-mail from them where I was qualified for an "Administrative position position."  <sigh> I should have known.

Good luck everyone!
