As a former employee for Caribbean Cruise Line I was very skeptical from the start. I noticed that every call I recieved was from someone who had no idea they were calling about a "free Cruise" . We did not make any outbound calls and only recieved calls. We would say " Welcome to Caribbean Cruise Line, Im showing you have been transfered for a free cruise, is that correct?  I heard many responses all to the tune of " I was trying to call my bank", " I needed to activate my credit card", & a list of many other companies that was not Caribbean Cruise Line they were trying to call. Some people would get so furious because they got transfered to us 3 or more times. I know this for a fact because I spoke to these people more than once in a day.

Some how they were intercepting calls and these people had no idea how they were getting transfered.  We were told by Jackie Schaifer that these people were "stupid" they probably dialed the wrong number. Common sense will tell you that 500 to 1,000 calls in a day was not all dialing the wrong phone number. We had 20-30 seconds to find out if they would like us to cover the details for them, if not politely hang up. Some people were niave and thought they just won something from the company they were trying to reach and then we would give them our sphiel. We told them they were responsible for port taxes and then tried to up sell them to a week stay including a tour of a time share. Not a bad price for the trip, but the script left out alot of important details about the conditions and hidden charges. I have spoke to several people who have taken this trip and would not do it again or recommend it to anyone.

The callers were definitely being misled and to top it off, employees that worked for this company were being taken advantage of. I expected a check for $1500 my second week of employment and was very disappointed to recieve only $325. I was told I had the most cancellations. Week after week the pay was never correct. The employees never knew who cancelled because we never got a print out the sales and cancellations. We never told about the cancellations until we inquired why are checks were short. When asked about a print out of the sales and cancellations we were told  the copier was always not working and we would get it later. Employees worked on a commision basis vs. 9hr. The hours were always wrong. Checks were always given out at the end of the night and you had to stand in line and go into the office one at a time. This allowed them to quickly give us our check without much discussion. They have personally short changed me numerous times and other employees as well. They did not like us talking to each other or exchanging phone numbers. I guess they figured if the employees were friends we would become wise to thier scam.

The office was being managed like a kindergarten class. You could not have your cellular phones. Not allowed to lean back in the chairs. "Don't talk to your neighbors"  No food or candy. Ask permission to go to the bathroom. Drugs were "OK" it seemed, because the drug addicts they hired were easy to manipulate. If they didnt like someone or if they felt challenged they would terminate them. Supposedly if you were terminated you did not get your commisions or 9hr. You got miniumium wage, if you were lucky to get that last check.

I know of seven other employees that I have developed a friendship. After leaving CCL we have not recieved our checks. Many of us have called only to get an answering machine with no return call. After several former employees contacted the pay roll company Jackie Schaifer and Phil Howland started calling asking if we wanted our checks mailed. Keep in mind this has been several weeks after no longer working there and in some cases more than a month. Those that did not call or inquire about the check will never see it.

In closing, this was a nightmare and would not recommend anyone  apply with this company or buy a cruise. During my employment I started reading about how this company scammed others (employees and customers) and decided I should quit. The day I made my decision was when I over heard Phil Howland tell a customer. "We didnt know that you had dementia" and then proceeded to ask for her credit card. It made me sick to my stomach that I worked for a company that ripped people off. Now I understand why this company operates under different names and has relocated so many times. The doors are locked and you have to identify yourself to go upstairs to the office. Im sure its because they dont want to face the music. I have been told that "Phil Howland" is an alias. I have personally heard Jackie use the name "Susan" when speaking on the phone, but goes by Jackie in the office.

All signs point to SCAM...  If you work there, jump ship because its about to SINK !!!
