Carland Concepts AKA Jack Frost Auto Sales - Gene Swiger MAJOR RIPOFF, TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 16 YEAR OLD!! CUMMING (FORMERLY WOODSTOCK) Georgia

I purchased a 97 Jeep Cherokee on 10/23/04 from these gentlemen! In turn we traded a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo which was in perfect shape which we had serviced and put new tires on prior to trade in. I asked the salesman STEVE for an extended warranty. He told my son and I that he did not like the company they were using and that if I could not get one to come back to him and he would BACKDATE the application and provide one for us.

In the 1st month of owning this vehicle, we had to replace all of the following:

Front and Rear Differential, Valve Cover Gaskets, Oil Pan Gaskets, Spark Plugs, Distributor Cap was missing, Water Pump, All Brakes and Rotors, Brake Shoes and to top it off, the 4WD did not work! TOTAL I HAD TO PAY WAS $4,000.00!!

I sent documentation beginning on 11/8/04 and every week from then on until 1/7/05. I have left messages, emails, faxes and sent overnight packages with all documentation asking that Carland assist with these costs. Apparently, the sales people got to know my name and became rude with me when I called. Ironically, every time I called, the person I needed to speak to was not in.

At first I was told the owners name was Jack Frost, only to find out I had been lied to about that as well. The owner is Gene Swiger. Mr. Swiger spoke to an associate of mine for the 1st time on 1/7/05. We were told he knew nothing of the situation (did Steve hide all of this from him) and that he would check into it and get back to us.

To date 2/17/05, we have not heard one word back from Carland Concepts, Gene Swiger or Steve (the sales person). My son (now age 17) saved his money so he could fix up his first off road vehicle. Unfortunately, because of these THIEVES, my son had to spend every dime he saved on fixing the items that should have been checked and repaired before the car even went onto the lot.

Not to mention that our mechanic told us he was lucky that he didn't have a major accident as there was NOTHING left on the brakes.

Thanks Carland Concepts for not only endangering my son but for taking away his $4,000 savings account. I am in the process now of getting Clark Howard to take this case!!
