I purchased the program back in 1994. It was $199.00. Only a small portion of the program talked about "no money down deals". I DID NOT BUY ANY OF THE EXTRAS OR LET THEM TALK ME INTO PAYING FOR ANYTHING ELSE. I am a Realtor now but back then I was working a full time job with a company and just wanted to start a Rental business I could call my own. I own 22 single family rentals. 20 of them I bought on Land Contract (NO MONEY DOWN) the other 2 I gave the owners $1,000.00 down on the Land Contracts.

You simply need to know how to look for the properties. Some Realtors will help you....some won't. Oddly enough, my first 3 deals a Realtor helped me find.

Look folks, the idea of this program is to give you alot of basic information about "breaking into the Real Estate Investment business. It is not a get rich quick scheme. Some of the information is a little outdated because of recent changes in "flipping" laws, but 95% of it is fine.

The problem is not Carlton Sheets, it is this idiot company he subcontracted to market the product and speak to customers. But you're right, it's still his name on the line.

Just buy the original program and tell them no to anything else. The basic program has everything you need in it, including great material on how to work with tenants.

I went to this website http://www.chicago.bbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=8469 and a small portion of folks have gotten their money back from the chicago better business bureau. Most have not. Please ignore the very few good responses on this site. I would never honor a business with so many bad reports against it. It is obvious that they trick consumers & probably laugh at you when they take your money!

Remember to report them to the FTC. Occasionaly, they make an example of these thieves and throw them in jail! Wouldn't Carlton & Don Lapre make great cellmates. ;-)

I am a located in Toronto Canada and I purchased the Carlton Sheets course. After reviewing it for 2 weeks I phoned to get a return authorization number and after explaing why I wished to return it I was given a number. It was only about a week after I returned it that I received a full refund without any hassels. I can't complaign about the course only that it contained little to do with Canadain content.
