Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard Carnival Sea Miles is a Joke Internet

The Carnival Sea Miles credit card is a joke.  The customer service is awful.  I've called them three different times and gotten three different answers.  We cruise frequently and love Carnival Cruise lines so I thought hey why not?  I can use it and get bonus points for a future cruise or at least for "on board credit".    We recently cruised and I earned according the their website 130,000 points for one purchase and a few thousand for other purchases for a total of close to 200,000 points.  I tried to redeem the points, but couldn't do it on the web site.  Stupid me-I called them to ask them about it, the first person told me they had just converted to a new system and my next purchase would "trigger" the system and make the points available.  The next purchase posted and nothing happened so I called and was told "oh you have to earn so many points in certain categories to be eligible"  so I asked well where can I find what those categories are-the CSR couldn't tell me.  So I started searching again,  and I thought I would try to call them again.  This time I was told that I didn't have enough points available and that I would have to make more purchases to be eligible to use the points.  I pointed out their website is showing me with roughly 200,000 points all to Carnival and according to Carnival's website I should be eligible to use all if not part of those points in some fashion for my next cruise either for On Board Credit or towards the balance.  Again, the CSR starting double talking and telling me that "I just didn't have enought points."  With all of this being said, I know it sounds minor considering what others are going through in the day and age; however, I don't like being lied to or companies misrepresenting their products/services.  DO NOT EXPECT TO GET ANY PERKS FOR GETTING THE CARNIVAL SEA MILES CREDIT CARD-IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
