The canrivalregistry agents advertise their cruise/resort packages as great deals. You can get one cruise and one 7 night resort stay for only $1600. They say that they have resorts and hotels world-wide and their cruises range globally as well!

They don't allow you to view their database of available cruises or resorts and they don't tell you that most of their "deals" require you to pay extra money in addition to the $1600 voucher you paid for. You are allowed access to the database only ONCE you have paid the $1600. There you will find that your vacation stays consist of people's timeshares that they don't want. We stayed in Hawaii at someone's timeshare. It was advertised as a 1 bedroom + full kitchen and it turned out to be a studio + sink/fridge. If we had purchased the timeshare directly for our exact dates it would have cost us $700. We paid $800 for it through Carnivalregistry. If you want to book something that isn't a one-star stay you have to pay them extra money ranging from $400-$1000. My sister also used a voucher to stay in Thailand for 7 days. She too would have paid around $700 if she hadn't gone through Carnivalregistry. They typically only have off-season availability for resort stays and if you want to stay during peak-season you have to pay way more.

Additionally their customer service is terrible and you are transferred to 10 different departments in their office before finally talking to someone about using your voucher. Their office phone system is terribly inefficient. Once on the phone the agents take forever to look up information and do not provide you with anything helpful for your vacation stay.

If you enjoy paying people extra money for your vacation in order to stay on the phone needlessly for hours then by all means pay carnivalregistry.com to do so. Their business market is NOT like that of orbitz, hotels.com, expedia etc.. they are PURELY a company that repackages timeshares/cheap hotel stays during off season and upsells them to customers on their database. Your money is better off spent planning your own vacation using sites like orbitz, hotels.com who actually LOOK for deals and allow the user the freedom to choose dates instead of pre-paying for no service and no benefit. Please do not purchase a deal from carnivalregistry.com. They falsely advertise their business motives and are not clear about what they are offering to customers.
