Carolina Carports Inc. PLEASE JUST FIX THE LEAKS Dobson , North Carolina

On MARCH 1, 2012 Jan Yarborough presented a contract for a 20x40x9 building to be built on a concrete slab at my address. On this day it was discussed what plans we (my Fianc, Mother, and

I) had for the building with Ms. Yarborough. On APRIL 2, 2012 a 20x40x9 building was installed on my concrete slab which was due to the specifications set forth for the building. I then proceeded with our plans for the building.

After a heavy rain storm I observed the building leaking. I called THE OFFICE spoke to Carmon. Was informed of the seam possibly being the problem but would send a crew to fix the problem. Two (2) weeks later a crew came to repair the building. After they left I continued with my plans. The building was still leaking. NOT form the seams but where the roof was attached to the trusses. I again notified THE OFFICE and sent pictures. Due to the leak the concrete pad was now pitted. This was verified by the installer of the concrete pad.

After SEVERAL phone calls THE OFFICE sent a Second crew to repair the leaks. They left without doing anything but walking around. THE OFFICE was called again. I was informed that the wall had to be removed. After several heated conversation (arguments) with your people on the phone. I removed the wall. Laura informed me that a crew would be out to repair the building now that the wall was down.

After I called to ask how the building would be repaired Laura told me SHE would call me back. After waiting 2 days I called and was told by Laura that the crew would not be coming due to modifying the building voiding the warranty.

Just a quick review:

At the time of the contract signing YOUR agent NEVER disclosed any of the information of voiding the warranty, EVEN KNOWING what we had planned for the building.

On the day of the installation, on the work order, was the first time that the seam possibly leaking due to the style and length of the building.

 A verbal contract was made between Laura and me that if the wall was taken down in the building then a crew would be sent to repair the leaks.

ONLY after I requested information of the repair and informed them of the removal of the wall did she tell me about not modifying the building voided the warranty.

By putting up a wall to separate or section off the building without knowing or being informed of the possibility of a leaking building would have made me choosing a different style or type of building. IN NO WAY did installing the wall cause the leaks which damaged the drywall on the wall and the CONCRETE floor. Even though I have been VERY difficult to deal with I would like to get this problem resolved without any legal action. PLEASE JUST FIX THE LEAKS.
