Carolina Structures, Inc. Breach of contract and failure to return security deposit Knightdale North Carolina

On June 17, 2017, we hired this company to pour and install concrete at our residence and paid  a cash deposit of  $1,500.00 on the same day.  Thereafter, we had an extensive extensive text message exchange with Mr. Ed Hall, during which he committed to specific dates to complete the work, but he never showed up, including during good weather periods. When I asked him to return the security deposit, he refused claiming that it is "non-refundable."  This is in violation of the law, since he never advised us that it was "non-refundable."  We gave him until July 29, 2017, to remedy the situation, or we will go into litigation. Our research indicated that there a number of complaints against this company on BBB, plus very negative Facebook reviews.  Buyer be aware!
