Steven Zerin is the owner of this company(s) Carpenter Contractor, also goes by A1 Accurate -after being ripped off, have researched and found that he is listed in McHenry, Woodstock and Carpentersville, Il.
He is a smooth talker, acts like he know's what he's talking about. We hired him to redo a bathroom shower and floor in tile. He totally ruined $1500.00 worth of tile, took over $1,000.00 from me and never did finish the job!
It took 5 months of pure hell in chasing this guy down every day to find out if he was showing up that day. He lies like crazy, always has some dumb a*s excuse as to why he didn't show and then when he does, he hardly gets anything done.
His quote and my down payment to him was to cover all materials, except the tile, which I got on my own. After he got started, I found myself running to Menards or Home Depot every time he showed up to work because he needed something.
He totally figure out the amount of tile, bull nose, accent piece, etc. wrong causing me to spend more than I needed to.
After 5 months and him not showing up over and over and over, I finally told him to forget it, that we would finish the job ourselves.
This guy is a total scumbag and low-life. Please do yourselves a favor and do NOT get involved with him!

I did do work for sharon. What she wrote is untrue. She had another company set a custom top for her. Whan I went to tile thier was a bog differance in the measurement from 1 side to the other where I was supose to tile. I brought that to her attn. I was told to tile it anyways. Her special order tile took weeks longer than it was supose to to come in. I did finish the job and was not paid. I am claiming that she is lying
