Carpet Exchange BUYER BEWARE ... unethical business practices Westminster Colorado

My husband and I purchased 29 sq. feet of 3X6 tile from the Carpet Exchange in Westminster. Tile we got was not 3X6. Because the tile was not a "true" 3X6 tile it would not work with the tile already installed in my kitchen.

When I went to return the tile I was told there is no return on "special order" tile. I was NEVER told that the tile I was ordering was a "special order" nor does my invoice say "special order". I could not find any information about returns in the store or on their web sight. Not once did the salesman say anthing to to us about their return policy during the descussion of how much tile we would need.   

They finally agreed that they would take the tile back and refund my money BUT I had to pay a 25% restocking fee.  They tried to charge me the restocking fee on my TOTAL charge not just the cost of the tile.  If I had been told that the tile was a "special order" I never would of purchased the tile in the first place because they did not have a sample of the 3X6 tile in store. 

This is the second time I have purchased something from Carpet Exchange only to be riped off by their unethical business practices.  I will never buy from them again.
