I had a carpetwagon customer service rep come out and measure my new home for me to have carpet installed. After i noticed the way the "estimate" was done, i demanded a phone call back from my rep to get a "detailed" list of charges. They never called me back. So after i called back again (10 days went by) and wanted to cancel. Once they heard that, my phone was ringing like crazy. Intresting isnt it? The So Cal Manager was the one who called me, i explained to him i never got the call back i had requested. And i went on to tell him that i wanted a detailed explanation of charges. He said that he would have the rep call me back. Again, here we are several days later and no call. NO SUPRISE. But during our conversation he told me that i cant cancel and that i would lose my deposit and on and on. That may be so. But i get the CLEAR perception that they do have something to hide. Not to mention the POOR service from them. If you ever buy from this shoddy outfit, i suggest that you get a detailed estimate and put down a very SMALL amount for a deposit on a credit card. I put a larger amount down. I have filed a cliam with my credit card company. So maters are now in their hands. Let's see what happens. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR CARPET FRIENDS! They are hiding things and get offended when you ask for a detailed estimate, not to mention all the broken promises.

SO I CALLED THEM TODAY AND TOLD THEM THAT I HAD FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE CONTRACTORS STATE LICENSE BOARD, WHICH I FILED ON LINE TODAY. I TALKED TO CARLOS AT THE GLENDALE CA OFFICE WHICH IS ALSO THEIR CORPORATE HQ. CARLOS TOLD ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER ABOUT THIS AND HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME BACK. MY GOODNESS... FINALLY SPEAKING TO THE OWNER AFTER ALL THIS TIME? WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WAKE THESE PEOPLE UP? I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THIS IS THEIR FINAL CHANCE TO ISSUE ME A REFUND OR I WILL CONTINUE WITH THE FILING. AT ABOUT 430PM, A GENTLEMAN BY THE NAME OF "DOMINIC" CALLED ME BACK AND WAS TRYING TO PURSUADE ME TO FINISH THE INSTALLATION. I WAS LIKE, SAYING TO MYSELF, IS THIS GUY KIDDING? WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY LIKE THIS? NOT ME ! AFTER ALL, CINDY, THE SALES REP, NEVER CALLED ME BACK. HE WENT ON TO TELL ME, WELL WE CALLED YOU 7 TIMES AND BLAH BLAH BLAH, AND THAT MAY BE, BUT AT LEAST 4 OF THOSE TIMES I HAD ASKED THEM FOR A DETAILED ESTIMATE AND NEVER RECIEVED ONE NOR GOT THE CALL BACK I WAS PROMISED MULTIPLE TIMES. DOMINIC SAID HE WAS GOING TO GET ME A REFUND ISSUED, BUT HAD TO EMAIL ME SOMETHING FIRST. I SAID OK. SO HERE I AM WAITING FOR HIS EMAIL. WHO KNOWS HOW LONG THAT WILL TAKE LOL... IN THE MEAN TIME, I AM REQUIRED TO GO ON WITH MY COMPLAINT AS IT IS TIME SENSITIVE. GO TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE CONTRACTORS LICENSE BOARD WEB SITE AND FILE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE THE JUSTIFICATION LIKE I DO.
