Do NOT use this organization! They are a complete rip off and they pocket the money and then will only give you $25 towards your charity. I had donated a Mercedes. I was furious and called up wanting to speak to whomever was running this rip off circus. Their response was "she just stepped away from her desk" or " she is gone for the day". A likely story. The Executive Director called me back two days later and said she could cut a check for $100 instead which is still unacceptable. I doubt that my charity received this check but I will follow up with that shortly.
Cars4causes is a COMPLETE scam and ripping off charities is morally reprehensible.
i will be filing a report with the BBB.com too.

CARS 4 CAUSES says: "Know Your Vehicle and the Donation Process Before You Donate."

Cars 4 Causes received the donation of a Mercedes 420SEL referenced in Rip-Off report #1159576, although, the registered owner of that donation is not the same as the author of the aforementioned Rip-Off report. Unfortunately, because Rip-Off report #1159576 was written by a party other than the donor, we cannot respond specifically to the details contained in the report. If the actual donor is unhappy with the services provided by Cars 4 Causes, we would be happy to address those concerns directly.
Cars 4 Causes has served more than 17,500 non-profit organizations since we originated in 1997. We are also a non-profit charity and, as such, our purpose is to process vehicle donations for other charities that do not have the resources or experience to have their own vehicle donation program. All the costs associated with running our vehicle donation program and processing each vehicle donated are deducted from the gross sales price of each vehicle that is sold. The remainder (net) is shared with charities selected by the donor.
Having processed over 210,000 vehicle donations, we understand that some donors may not fully understand the donation process, its complexities or associated expenses with running a successful program. We take pride in our work, knowing that Car 4 Causes, on average, realizes more from each donated vehicle than any other charity vehicle donation program. It’s not uncommon that a donor overestimates the value of their donated vehicle. Many donors use the retail Kelly Blue Book values when making an estimate of their vehicle donation, however, most donated vehicles are sold through wholesale dealer auctions which bring a completely different set of values for the vehicles.
As a courtesy and convenience to our donors we often accept vehicles that are at the end of their life cycle. We are not licensed to dismantle these vehicles ourselves, but we do get good prices for these types of vehicles (scrap) and the donors not only rid themselves of their unwanted vehicle, but receive a tax deduction as well.
We felt it important to address this report, in part to hopefully appease this person (who may or may not be our donor), in addition, to educate those who read this in the hopes that they may better understand the vehicle donation process and donate their vehicles with confidence to their charity of choice.
