Product (1 x Xavix Port Game Console with Free Bowling Game (X105-1012 PROMO) = $74.99) was ordered via internet using major credit card as a Christmas gift. No product ever received. Internet claim filed using vendors web page. No answer. Checked again, site is down. Filed claim with my credit card as fraud.
Site used all the "right" symbols (secure transaction lock, high Google hits, etc.) that would lead normal consumer to believe site was legitimate business.
Point of order: Consumers should reduce their exposures in the future by using "known" store web-addresses (such as Sears, Target, Wal-Mart, etc...) or by using known and protected vetting tools (such as E-Bay, Amazon, PayPal, etc...) whenever possible. More costly, no doubt -
