CarVinCheck.com This company charges like $2.95 for 1 time VIN check during "trial period" but the phone number listed to cancel trial period is disconnected! Internet, Internet

I used a website to check a vehicle VIN number for a one time charge of $2.95 during the trial period of 3 days. This website says you simply call before your trial period ends to cancel but when you call the number 866-610-0652 it has been changed or disconnected. The charge to my bank account provided no information either. So you would like to cancel during your trial period, but you CAN'T cancel. Here's what the terms say:

e. Subscription Services, Automatic Renewal, Trial

i. Payment

In the event you choose to subscribe to the services offered on the Site, your subscription will continue for the monthly period you select during registration (the "Term"), and renew automatically at the end of the Term, unless you notify us of your decision not to renew your subscription by contacting our Customer Care Team at (866)610-0652

ii. Termination,  Trial

If you do not notify us that you want to cancel your subscription as described above, the then-applicable monthly fee for your subscription will be billed automatically to the credit card you designated during the registration process (or subsequently changed).During the trial portion of your subscription (if any), you may cancel your subscription at any time and not be billed by contacting our Customer Care Team.

When you cancel automatic renewal on your subscription, your subscription will continue through the rest of the current period. At the end of that period, your subscription will not renew automatically, and you will lose the benefits of the subscription. You are not entitled to refunds for previous months that have already been charged as services have been rendered and costs have been incurred by us.

Please note:    Upon the expiration of your trial (if any), your credit card will be billed the applicable subscription fee and your paid subscription will commence.  You will not receive a refund or reimbursement of your subscription fee after your  trial period has ended.


When you call 888-613-1485, which I found on the Ripoff Report website posted by another customer they had scammed they offer to cancel your subscription and offer you a refund of 50% of your last charge. If you are like me they charged me $29.95 two times and only offered me $14.98 refund. I have tried to get back on this website by using carvinchecks.com and can not find the site.  The name printed on my bank statement is CARVINCHECKS COM SALT LAKE CITUT. I can't even google anything that takes me back to this site now. The customer service guy I talked to gave me this address to contact the company: 999 Murray Holladay Rd. #107, Salt Lake City, Utah 84117

When I google this address I find another website stating terms and conditions for a refund from Slim Health, LLC

So obviously this company is running multiple scams.
