Just an awful experience! There was no builder-buyer communication, and not because of inaction on this buyer's part. When this builder did communicate, he either lied or blamed others.
My complaints: He failed to begin construction in a timely manner. Once construction did begin, there were months long delays from one phase to the next. He blamed the delays on permitting, city inspectors, sub-contractors, utility installation scheduling, the developer, and the HOA--none of his excuses was valid. It took the builder approximately two years to build this home--a smallish, tract-type house that any other builder could have built in half the time or less. I think the only reason it was finished then was that I involved a lawyer and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
