Someone who has a very choppy phone line called me my answering machine and used information from online payday loan firms to leave a message about a lawsuit against me - I no longer NEED a payday loan - I am making more money now and am no longer in dire straits. I called him back and asked whatever was the matter. He knows the last four digits of my SSN, he knew my job title, and siad that I would be served papers in a lawsuit filed by Cash Net. "Oh my God!" he said, when I did not know about this.I think this was an attempt to get more information from me, which I did not supply. I asked for papers, and he said "good luck tomorrow!" and he hung up. Obviously this was a shakedown. If I had Alzheiner's or was more disabled than I am, he would have taken advantage of me.
