Cash4Laptops Bait and switch tactics on trade in value Sparks, Nevada

I went online and got a Quote from Cash4Laptops.com for a recently purchased Lenovo SL410 Laptop which was not working out for my travel as I had planned. I bought a smaller one and went to Cash4Laptops to check and see what my Lenovo SL410 would be worth. It was in like new condition so when I got a quote for $322 I was satisfied with that quote. So they sent me a pre paid box and I packaged it up and sent it off. They received it about 4 days later. I received a email saying that it had been received and would be inspected within a short period of time. After about two weeks I called them because they had sent me a email indicating they had been trying to contact me about my value of the laptop. Unfortunately its almost impossible to actually talk to someone by calling. You have to leave a voice message and they may call you back. Needless to say I was already feeling Ripped Off! I sent off some e mails too of which they were not replied too. I did finally receive a call back indicating that after two weeks my laptop was just now being inspected. After about 3 more days I received another email indicating that my cash was ready for my laptop and if I agree with the offer would be put in my PayPal account the next day. The problem was they were only offering $145 instead of the quote of $322. No reason was given for such a reduction and they never resonded as to why such a low offer was provided. After receiving no communication back I decided to cut my loses and I accepted the $145 which was deposited to my PayPal account. I filed a complaint with the BBB about this company and received a call from a Brian at ash4Laptops who provided little reasoning for such a difference from the quote to the final offer. Other then to say it is up to the final inspection to provide a more accurate value. The online quote cannot reflect a accurate quote when they have not inspected the laptop. It sounded a lot like he had said these same words plenty of times to other customers who complained. I am sure you would not be happy if your car salesman offered $20,000 for your car only to pay you $10,000 when you actually did the deal. Same goes for Cash4Laptops. These people obviously want to convince you to send your product in with a high quote. But the know full well they have no intention of even coming close to that quote. My advice is stay away from such tactics. If they will not commit to a quote then don't bother with this company.
