Within the span of 1 week I received calls from Mr. Sam Johnson (214-447-0262) and Mr. William Turner (302-339-4012) - both claiming that I owed money from a payday loan.  I paid the loan over a month ago and have the bank statement to prove it.  The case number given me by Mr. Johnson was the same "case number" given by the original person I paid.  Mr. Turner could not provide a case number or anything and threatened to have me arrested.  Mr. Turner alleged that he was from All State Legal Services, but when I checked the website and tried to call the number, all circuits were busy.  When I went online to investigate, I saw that CashNet and All State Legal Services have numerous complaints filed against them for fraud.   Specifically named are Cashnet and Mr. William Turner for All State Legal Services.

Do they have Thick Accents?

If so them they are the same scammers that have been all over the place!! Tell them to take a long walk off a short pier into shark infested waters! 214-447-0262 is a Dallas phone number - probably a throw away phone.

Talk to CashNet directly and verify that your account is 100% paid off.

When I pay off cards or loans, there is always another small payment because intrest is added daily.

When I paid off my car I called my bank and was told the payoff was X, a month later instead of getting the title I received a bill for $2.24. I sent $2.25, they sent me the title and a check for a penny. LOL
