On December 2012, i had an emergency and i requested a loan with castle payday for the amount of $500. I did the application process over the phone with one of their reps. This person never explain to me that i was supposed to call them a couple of days before each payment was due. Yet, they had all my personal information including bank account, and i agreed to make the payments every two weeks for the amount of $175.00 till paying off the loan. Today -4/29/2013 after paying to this company $1282.50 already. I just got off the phone from talking with them and basically they just told me that i still have to pay them $400.00 in order to close that account, or otherwise if i don't pay them, not only they will continue deducting money (fines) from my bank account but they will sell the account to a third party collection agency and it will affect my credit.

Seriously, this company is very deceitful and a complete ripoff. I really believe that someone needs to do something about it and put a stop to this company. it is ridiculous that for a $500.00 loan, I and many more other people have to end up paying two or three times that amount because you don't call a couple days prior to them taking the money out of your bank account every two weeks.

I honestly wish i would have known this website before getting that loan with them. I wouldn't have make that mistakes.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY FOR A LOAN... IT'S A BIG MISTAKE..

Castle Payday Warning

AUTHOR: Someone_in_California - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 08, 2013

I recently started an online application to Castle Payday loans. They require you to enter all of your personal and banking information before they ever take you to the page with the loan terms. When I saw the terms I tried to cancel the application, but there is no "Cancel" button on the page. They charged $350 fee for the $1000 loan for which I was approved, but I declined the terms. While searching for the "Cancel" button that doesn't exist on the page, I saw they broke down the loan repayment into 44 bi-weekly installments. If I had taken that loan for $1000 it would have cost me over $8900 to repay it under their terms. I had to close the application web page because there was no cancel button.

They immediately started calling me, and called for several days, from as early as 5am to as late as 11pm. Judging by the accents of the people who kept calling me I believe the call center is in the Philippines. I finally got the call center person to cancel my application. Even then they were hard sell and tried to change my mind.

Be aware of any online applications. Check the page and read the fine print before clicking on the accept button. They get your personal information and then can do anything with it, so I have to have a credit monitoring software for the next year to make sure they don't try to steal my identity.
