This company is in "independently owned" by Faress Berhe, a man who looks like a turkey who has undergone chemotherapy. Although appearing independent, it is a subsidiary of a company named Cydcor/DS-Max. Organizations like Catalyst are examples of Multi-Level Marketing Scams. Cydcor, the parent, essentially supplies the subsidiaries (Catalyst Corporate) with products to advertize (a.k.a. junk to sell). The task of doing so falls to Berhe, the irradiated turkey and his "marketing team".

How do they operate? The independent distributor, Faress Berhe is at the top level. He gets to sit at his desk and sometimes makes pseudo-inspirational speeches to the empty-pocketed fools unfortunate enough to have put their faith in him. Below him are a legion of idiot minions. They could be you if you have replied to any of their ads proclaiming "Apprentice Needed" on careerbuilder.com.

This job is for door to door sales. That's right walking for 8+ hrs. per day from business to business with no base salary only making a comission on the individual pieces/products you sell. That's right you come to work for free and then walk around dumpy-a*s parts of cities and town looking to scrape a $10 comission. On the rare occasions the door to door salesman makes a sale s/he receives a comission but more importantly a portion of the comission goes to those back at the office who have given the stupid rube salesman this fantastic "opportunity".

Hence: Multi Level Marketing Scam. I strongly advise any one fortunate enough to read this to avoid Catalyst Corporate Solutions. Unless you're seriously at the end of your rope, don't give these people a shot, they're scam artists. Working for them is only going to prolong your pain and theirs. Don't do it, Don't go in for the "interview", Leave these scumbags alone, let them starve, and let them pack up and leave town.
