What happens to lawyers that have no regard for the law AND have no morality?  Now we know.  They work for a collection agency.  Namely Dominion Law Associates and Cavalry Investments or Calvalry Portfolio Services.  Needless to say this company operates under several names misrepresenting itself.  It recently sued me for a debt over ten years old while I was away and on top of this added a lawyer's fee not awarded to them in court.(illegal)  After having read the numerous reports on here and other places, it is time we went after these people legally.  Did you know you can sue if a collection agency does not follow legal rules.  COUNTERSUE THEM!  Represent yourself.  In fact with all of the complaints a class action lawsuit should be pursued.  I will research for a lawyer up to the task.  When I find one I will post it here so we can come together and take action.  Meanwhile file a report at

I did.

Statue of Limitations

AUTHOR: Lovely - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Hello I am a collector at cavalry portfolio Services and I wanted to possibly help you better understand your situation. It would be easier to help you knowing your account number so I could review the account and if you would like to provide it to me given what you say is true, I would be more than happy to look into that for you. Here are some possible scenarios. You said cavalry sued you on a debt that was over ten years old?? Well your from Washington and the statue of Limitations for litigation in your state is 6 years. So let's say your account was opened in 1999, and the statue for litigation went out in 2005. If no action has been filed before the 6 years is up then we can NOT pursue on that account UNLESS-----you make a payment. Now if you make a payment at anytime even if its for $ 5.00 after the SOL is up, guess what? It starts all over AGAIN. Even if the account is no longer being reported to your credit it doesn't matter, cavalry can file suit against you if the account has been put back in SOL and we have ALL the proper original documents to provide to the courts. Hopefully this helps, and If you would like further information. Write me back and provide me with your account number.
