CBA ,Cherry Bone And Associates Collection Agency Lied about sending money after doing collection work, STILL HASNT PAID! Houston Texas

In early April of 2008, I had a client who owed my business $850. I decided to turn things over to CBA (Cherry Bone and Associates) Collections Agency (www.cbacollectors.com) so that I could just focus on my business, instead of having to deal with this troubled client. I knew something seemed shady, because CBA seemed really desperate to represent my claim. They were even willing to drop from 30% to 20% really easily.

CBA was able to acquire the first $400 of my money rather quickly, and stated that it would be mailed out April 25th. I really needed the money sooner than that, but they said they only sent checks out on the 25th of each month (how hard is it to put a check in the mail?). So I just went along with it.

The beginning of May came around and I still hadnt received the first half of the money. I then started to call and complain a bit. They called and left a message on the 8th of May stating that they will have all of the money on May 16th (the full $850 collected), and that they would mail all of it on May 25th (once again, they only send checks out on the 25th of each month). So I went along with it again...

The end of May rolls around and I contacted them to ask if they had mailed my check as promised. They said that they were getting a check out to me that day. Again, I waited...

Now, 10 days after the THIRD TIME they said they were sending my check of $850, I still have received nothing from them. Now, they arent replying to emails or returning phone calls. Im hoping to get my money eventually, but even if I do, I will never work with this company again. If anyone is thinking about working with this company, I would highly NOT recommend them. Their customer service and communication with clients is HORRIBLE and will leave you frustrated.
