I also, as many others have, received the unsolicited letter from CCA/First National Card. After reading the letter, I understood what it was trying to make you think. Of course, the first thing I wanted to do was see a website or a catalog of what products this was supposed to entitle me to, along with pricing. Nothing available! Luckily, I did a web search to learn more information on this terrible company taking advantage of people.

One recent update on this site stated that the owner, a Mr. Kelly (I think), recently agreed to a settlement payment to the FTC for his practices. What really bothers me is that I don't understand why they just didn't put him out of business, or some other authorities use the information that no doubt came out in that hearing to launch a criminal case against him. The update listed was in September.

Per the information on my letter, "The information described in this letter is accurate as of the date of printing October 23, 2007". So, we see that this fine has done nothing to change this company from their dreadful tactics and outright abusing the good citizens of this country (maybe other countries too!). My letter reads exactly the same as what others have described throughout this site, so once again, either 1) The FTC was only interested in getting its money from him and didn't care to draw up specific guidelines that must be followed by this company (which they would never meet); or 2) The company simply doesn't follow any guidelines and is in violation of something that came out from the settlement.

I am upset enough that I received this unsolicited letter with my personal information on it. What I am more worried about right now are the multiple reports of those people that never called in to the phone number, yet somehow their bank accounts were still debited! This is very disturbing to me, and you can bet I will be following all my banking transactions very closely (which I already do anyways). I hate having to spend all this extra time that I should be spending with my darling (almost) 4 year old daughter, just to keep reviewing my information to make sure this company doesn't screw things up for me!

Sorry for rambling on, but I really need more direction on how I can stop this company from taking advantage of others. These type of people are some of the lowest life forms on earth (in my humble mind) and I want to do everything to not only stop them from hurting others, but also punish them for their acts, by hopefully getting authorities to bring about criminal charges and throw their butts in jail! Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I will be hanging onto this letter for awhile, just in case something happens to my bank account.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Dear Tim

AUTHOR: Bcsformer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 08, 2007

I am a former employee. I'm not going to go into specifics (please read other rebuttals I wrote in previous reporst before yours) however the FTC regulates the companies practices each year they thoroughly go over the contracts and practices from the company. The settlement was more than likely for discrepancies in the paperwork give to customers. As you will in the other rebuttals criminal action can only be brought if the company is infact fraudulent which it is not. It is sometimes a rip off if you dont have alot of money when agree to it. As far as the "lowest life forms" comment I beg to differ. I have a 2 and half year old son, and I am as regular a person as they come. Most people would think that the company is run out of some warehouse when in fact it is a professional office building with over 300 people working there. And surely we are all not bad, we are just people with jobs like anyone else.

It does bother me sometimes (or it had rather) when people called with stories about there rent and things like that but the truth of the matter is everyone has to take responsibility for any actions and the affects of those actions. Last, the majority of people who state that there account was debited without ever calling are telling half truths because there is no possible way to get ther banking info without them giving it to a representative. I'm not saying this to bulid up the company I am saying this because not everyone who does this job, myself included are jerks. It's just our job.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

File A Complaint Through the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov)

AUTHOR: Stifter88 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 03, 2007

When I received this approval letter and credit card with credit line up to $6500 and no interest ever it just did not look right. I researched online and came to this website so I filed a complaint (dated November 1). I also had a police report filed through the county sheriff's department. I did file a complaint through the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov).

The more complaints us consumers file through the FTC the more evidence they will have to go after this company. This is not the first time something like this happened. From 1996 to 1999 this company (under several different names) bilked $12 million from 80,000 people. I did call my bank to have this company (RED FLAGGED).

So if they try to get money from my checking account (I never called to activate the card) they won't be able to get any money from my account. But you also have to mention that this company will change ID numbers through your bank so that has to be mentioned also. These people must be fully prosecuted and forced to pay restitution to all the people they had RIPPED OFF.

I really feel sorry for the victims who don't have much to begin with. A couple of examples is one complaint says that they overdrawn on her account so she was being charged the overdraft
fee and now don't have money to buy food to feed her children. Another complaint is that this company withdrew money from an account that is the Social Security for 4 minor children. These people are pathetic taking advantage of hard working people.

I wish you all the luck and hopefully this information will help.
