I am shocked that my son recieved one of these credit card scams. He is 13 years old and has no credit. I couldn't figure out how they could have gotten my son's name, and then it hit me. My son has a savings account at Bank of America.

I've called this phoney company 3 times and let them walk me through the process. The difference is that in the end they are the ones feeling stupid when call them on all the bullsh** and insist that they explain how they got a minor's personal information to begin with. I asked one women if she enjoys ruining a minor's credit because they are easy targets which makes her job easier.

Usually they will eventually hang up on me. But I just call back and mess with the next person who answers the phone. It's kinda fun to play along each time I call, only to throw it back at them and question there motivation in career choices.

I'm a social worker and I saw many of my developmentally disabled adult clients get burned by these companies. Maybe because my son is a minor we can pursue some criminal action against the company, corporate fiscal pedophilia, ..... there should be such a crime I think.

Whatever you do, DON"T LET YOUR CHILDREN GET THE MAIL ALONE!! If my son would have opened there letter and found a credit card in his name....I know he would have activated it asap and given them all the info they asked for...

I think I'll contact the FCC, or Nevada Attorney General?
