This morning when opening my online banking account I noticed a charge for $100.00 from a company called ccbilleu.com. I called the company (I found the number and address on line) and was told that a registration was filled out by my son for a Zanga game website. He did not register for anything. Needless to say, the charge is still pending and hopefully they'll catch it but after reading some of these reports, who knows.
Two days ago I allowed my son to purchase a sweatshirt and t-shirt for his birthday from Karmalloop clothing store and our payment went through pay pal. All was well until this.
In reading a different report on this website, it looks like they somehow get your mailing and banking information from paypal? The clothing store? I'm puzzled and, of course, will not do online shopping again.

ccbilleu validation process
AUTHOR: Kitty R - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Monday, May 25, 2009
My bank called me on Sunday, of all days, this Memorial Day weekend to ask me to confirm a $100 debit card charge from ccbilleu.com. I told them that the charge was bogus--never heard of this vendor--and they delcined the charge and cancelled the card. I contacted ccbilleu and got a lecture about my and my financial institution's "responsibility" for security, and I said Duh---the fact that they called me IMMEDIATELY after you tried to post a transaction says a tad more about your validation process than my (lack) of "responsibility". My debit card never leaves my hand, never gets "swiped"--I use it at the ATM for cash and on-line purchases--period. This is the third time that my debit card has been compromised in 6 months and I was also called about my sole credit card: last Wednesday, an outfit named "ClickNBuy" tried to bill for a nominal amount. That card is used for on-line purchasing only--nothing else. Bank caught that one right away, too. So where is this leading me? The outfits making the bogus charges: ccbilleu, ClickNCharge (check out their site--all the prices are in "KD"), some charity in England that collects for Iraqi animal rescue, and the best one of all--Air Arabia--are you getting the thread?? The only common vendor I've used on-line with both cards is Barnes & Noble.
