CCT International Peddling Carwash in Dangerous Locale..Were not upfront! Buford Georgia

I was recently laid off. So I have been looking for jobs. I found CCT International online at a job search website. The job required a college degree and sounded like I could possibly tolerate the job. I submitted my resume, and received a call back within 24 hours. I went to the interview to learn more about the company. I was scheduled for 1pm for an interview. I drove to the office. (By the way, I got lost because their office is not marked with a sign or anything). The waiting room was filled with people waiting to interview. There were about 15 people that walked in all saying they had a 1pm interview. That should have been my first red flag. My name was finally called after 45 minutes! I met with the supervisor who was well versed and told me about the company. He said they do promotions in the sports field. He said that there was no selling involved and they were just there to get the word out about the product. He said if I passed the initial interview, they would call me back and I would go out with the top sales person to see what it was all about.

Later the same day, I received a call that I had earned the second interview. They told me to be at the office the following morning at 9:30 in business casual. I showed up the next day. I waiting in said waiting room again for an hour! Then, the "top sales person" comes and says we are going to the promotion. They told me to follow in my car. It turns out they were going off Moreland Ave in Atlanta. This is way past little five points. It took almost an hour to get down there! When we pull up to the promotion, it is at a gas station. 2 buildings on either side were boarded up with graffiti. They set up a table, and proceeded to start selling a waterless car wash product. (How does this require a college degree?) Also, they begin to tell me that they get paid only the commission from the sale. So much for not trying to sell the product just promoting it. Keep in mind it is 40 degrees outside. Did anyone tell me it would be outside? No! So, I froze. Also when I was leaving I called a friend who was recently carjacked in broad daylight at a gas station on Moreland Ave. I was curious to know which one it was. Well, it was the same gas station that they sent a female sales person to, by herself to peddle carwash!

It was a dangerous situation. I did not feel comfortable. Just know the situation that you are getting yourself into. Know that they are probably going to make you drive an hour into the city. You are going to be out in the cold. They do not give you all of the information. They dance around the truth.

It should have been my first clue that their website was a myspace page and their email system was GMAIL...
