All trucking companies use the movers guide to approximate miles paid, and as a driver i am used to being ripped off a little, you know 10, 20 even 30 miles per load. but today i was being asked to drive 167 miles but only paid for 105 miles. now i know that dosent sound like a lot to some people but when you add it up day after day we are talking about some real money. and when i said enuf is enuf and i would not work a extra hr. today for nothing they fired me on the spot. of well it is for the best. i never liked forced dispatch anyway. so my friends be advised and warned these folks are not your friends or even your coworkers, they only care about there place in the office, and you mean nothing to them. oh yea! they say there is an open door policy but just try and get anyone there to return your calls.

I have been with Celadon for nearly 3 years. I left about 5 months ago. during my employ, they have always been fair to me. they have not cheated me on miles once! they have always tried to help me resolve issues. their payroll dept has always been quick to settle issues. they DO have an open door policy, and I have met with Steve Russell numerous times. he does care about the drivers, they pay on map miles, not practical, when they gave me a load, that had more miles then their loaded miles, they always fixed it. celadon does not put anything on a drivers DAC report, that is negative, unless there is evidence to back it up. Celadon has backed me up several times, and I would gladly refer them to other drivers. in short, if any driver has an issue, use the chain of command, you will get results. Celadon is one of the fewer companies left that really cares for thier drivers. I know this by personal experiance with them
