Celebrity Cruises - SellOffVacations - Mike O'Rouke the cruise that never was, false advertising, an attempted rip off North Vancouver British Columbia

I think the following email tread perhaps speaks louder than any words that I could use. The Reader's Digest version of this story is as follows. We booked a cruise through SellOffVacations, it was confirmed, and was represented to that everything was paid for and the cruise was going ahead as planned. Then with less than a week to go we were informed that there was a problem with our credit card, but we still have the cruise booked. We gave them another credit card number, only to find out that our cabin was not confirmed, we would have to upgrade and the price was more than twice as much.

Hi Brian and Kathy,

I have spoke with Celebrity Cruises and we have the Oceanview room on the Galaxy 10 night cruise you originally booked on a waitlist (on the telephone twice he said that our reservation was confirmed and we had our original room waiting for us, there was never any mention of a waitlist in any of the correspondence or discussions). The Sky Suite we talked about over the phone I found out the price of $2247 was per person, so it is quite a bit higher in price. The price we can give
you for that is $1,997, total $3.994, this is a saving of 500 dollars, but a lot more than your original booking (note: the original booking was for $1,600 for the two of us, see copy of invoice later this deal is over twice as much for a shorter cruise). So what we can suggest is a 7 night cruise starting on the 20th of December, it is at a lower price and there is availability. The price for the cruise is 800 per person,
1,600 total. This would mean you would either have to change your flight details or find a hotel in San Juan. The itinerary details are below.

My daughter in law received a telephone call yesterday from a Mike or Jim regarding our cruise, in which it stated that the credit card did not go through? I tried calling your office this morning. Please notify me via email ASAP so that I can call you. As you can see below
is a confirmation notice with the amount being shown as "PAID IN FULL"
