Celebrity Resorts - American Vacation Resorts company trying to scam huge amounts of money from its members Lakeland Florida

I too was contacted by phone on 04JAN08 by a representitave of Celebrity Resorts.

She asked if I had recieved a letter reguarding the status of my vacation plan with AVResorts. I told her no and she promised to email me a copy.She also stated that there were financial difficulties occuring with the AVResort accounts. I asked if our membership dues would be going up and she stated that a representative would like to meet and discuss other options including a buyout offer.

I have spoken with them 3 times to set up an appointment and reminded each of them that no letter has arrived.

Anyway I went to meet with them last night in Marrietta GA at the Crowne Plaza hotel and was put through the same treatment as others have reported.No buyout offer was available.

First he told me that my membership dues would double in a special assement.Later he told me I have no plan at all.

They tried to have me sign a contract for a new time share agreement in Orlando for around $9400.00! I thought at first they wanted to transfer my investment(at some percentage,) to the new contract but they stated there was nothing there.

This is not acceptable to any members who bought into the "Dream Vacation" plan in the late '90's. We need to be represented and we need to be refunded what we have spent.
