I hired Ryan of Cell Medic Phone repair in July of 2016 to replace the screen on my phone. The cost of the total repair was $180, but we came to an agreement where an even trade for a broken iPhone 6 would be suitable. The phone I was having repaired is the Galaxy s6 Active, and at the time a replacement phone screen was in excess of $150. What a deal, right?
It wasn't until a week later that we came into "issues", and Ryan emailed me saying he would need $60 more dollars. Wait a minute, that wasn't in our original agreement. When I get the phone back from him the front facing camera was scratched, and he offered to fix it for cheap. Phone lost all functionality and wouldn't turn on a day later, and Ryan offered to fix it for a couple extra $. After voicing my frustration and asking for  a refund, Ryan emailed me saying that "repairs don't guarantee functionality" and that he would not give a refund at all. I wish I had a full account of our email conversation, but he went into my phone and deleted them off the gmail app. I had google run the IP to confirm it.  It took me 3 months to get my phone back and I had to get the police involved. I'm currently in the process of taking this guy to court for the damage he did to my phone during the "repair". It's just a scam, like if you took your car to get your oil changed and your breaks get cut. Watch out for this guy. He will overcharge you for a bogus repair that intentionally causes damage so he can profit. If you need your phone screen fixed, I recommend going somewhere else!
