I was contacted by phone stating I won a $1,000.00 shopping spree,I would receive my packet within 10 days-no longer.Amanda Davis was her name,she said go to www.selectyourgifts.com and check it out.She said my first payment would start when I received my packet. For this I would receive a total of 5 magazines for $3.59 a week for 24 months, Family Circle,Good Housekeeping,Womens Day to name a few. This all started 5/29/08. Said if I had any questions to call, and gave me a customer service #. 10 days passed, no packet, I called the #, said they had not held up there end of the deal, so please cancel my account. The woman informed me I could not cancel,this made me angry, I said "Watch Me!" I immediately phone my credit card staff, they sent out dispute resolution forms to me. I filled them out and returned them. There packet arrived 6/12/08, I hung on to it a week or so it case it was neccessary for documentation or something, and returned it U.S. Mail on 6/20/08. My account had been charged $38.90 on 5/30/08. On 6/10/08 another 38.90 charge( this was the day I called and cancelled). My bank was looking in to the matter.I started this disput 6/12/08, my card company credited back my account provisionally on 7/1/08 & 7/3/08. On 7/7/08 they took another charge of 38.90. I received a letter from my bank on 9/4/08 stating the merchent bank has accepted the claim and the credit is now permanent. I thought that was the end of it. I kept receiving bills saying I owed$956.00.I was receiving all sorts of magazines, yatching,wrestling, magazines I would never read let alone buy!They sent me to collections 10/6/08.
