Cenegenics scam report

I am a physician who signed up for Cenegenics' training and treatments in May 2010. When I inquired about their program for physicians, I was a resident with a monthly salary of $3000 and huge student loans to pay. Their training fee of $15,000 was unaffordable for me at that time. Dr. Michael Resnick, MD who signed me up promised that after a week of training, I will become their resident and will be making $5000 -$10,000 a month from the start. After three months of their residency, if I sign up 60 patients I will become their affiliate-physician and can treat Cenegenics patients myself in one of their centers.

I was scheduled to have my executive health evaluation on May, 19 and the training week in Las Vegas on July, 9. They started charging my credit card $2,500 immediately on the first month I signed up with them even before I received any services or trainingfrom them. When I noticed another charge of $2,500 I called Cenegenics and told them that I am still a resident-physician and I cannot pay the money and it is not what we discussed with Resnick. Resnick sent me an e-mail stating they will postpone charging me fees for training until I start working with them. I went to their training in July, it was 3 days of lecture about hormonal treatments with Dr. Willix and the other two days I had a brief meeting with Dr. Resnick where hedemonstrated how to call potential patients and cell them Cenegenics program. The rest of the day I practiced calls. The next day again we had a meeting with Resnick that lasted about an hour and again the rest of the day I spend practicing calls. I did not signed anybody up during my training week in Las Vegas. I though that I need to practice some more to be able to cell anything. At home I was listening to recordings of Cenegenics trainer James Powell, and was full of hope that I can make money to by calling potential Cenegenics patients. To make a long story short, I started calling their leads that Cenegenics provided me with in September. I was doing it full time 5-6 days a week, 8 hours a day. I spent two weeks without any success. The leads Cenegenics provided me with were mostly totally unqualified financially. Some of them were rude to me, few of them hanged up on me, there were few who were polite, but still did not want to sign up for the service with the initial fee of $4,000-4,500.Once I was going to join a conference call with James Powell for call training, but it happened that James did not make it to the call. There were few other physician trainees some of who I met in Las Vegas during my training week and others who I never met in person. I complained to them that in 2 weeks I was not able to sign up anybody. These doctors told me that they were doing these calls for more than a month without any success. I realized that I was scammed by this huge corporation. I called them and said that I am not going to call leads any longer since I am not making any progress and I need to make money to survive. I told them that I am going to get a real job. I started working for Kaiser Permanente as a per diem family physician. I incurred so much debt on my credit cards by paying this ridiculous initial training fees of $2,500 times two and not making anything for over a month. Two month ago, Cenegenics tried to charge my credit card which they had on-file again for $2,500. They couldnt do that because there was no available credit for the amount. They contacted me asking for money. I told them the truth that I cannot pay it now and I first need to get back on my feet financially since they did not keep their promise by providing me with sound opportunity to have an income. I was still their patient and was still receiving their pharmacy supplies like hormones and supplements monthly. They had two of my credit cards on file. Well, in November, they went ahead and charged my other credit card, that was given to them for pharmacy expenses, $2,500. They just max it up. I did not authorize them to use this card for training billing. I called them and told them that they were not supposed to do that. Now I do not have a single credit card I can use since all of my credit cards are maxed up. They did not care. I called their vice president of Practice Development Chris Matlock and left him a message with complaint asking to resolve this situation. He never called me back. Dr. Resnick never responded to me either. I couldnt close my credit cards since I cannot pay the balance on them in full. I changed the account numbers hoping that it will protect me from their immediate charges and putting me in bankruptcy. Today, my bank representative called me telling me that they have a solid contract signed by me that I owe them the amount of $15,000 for 5 days of training. Not sure what to do now. I want every physician who considering training with Cenegenics to know my story. I hope that it will prevent them from doing that. I also do not advise potential patients to sign up for medical treatments. They are grossly overpriced and not worth of the money Cenegenics charges. There are plenty of medical practices who can do the same treatments for reasonable amounts without ripping patients off.
