Centerline Financial Group - Ben Fishler - Mark Gardener FRAUD SCAM GUARANTEEING $5000 SECURED LOAN ripoff Saint Louis Missouri

On 5/30/07, I was contacted by Mark Gardener of Centerline Financial Group telling me I was approved for a $5000 secured loan through a private lender. I received a loan agreement and promissory note stating the terms/conditions. He told me that upon receipt of the collateral payment I was guaranteed the $5000 in my bank account.

On 05/31/07, I sent $930 via MoneyGram to an Alice Workman in Ontario, Canada. The next day I called and was able to speak with Mark Gardener as well as with Ben Fishler who claimed to be the Head of Customer Service. He explained that there was a problem with my credit report and what was initially reviewed and that I would need to send an additional $900 and that i would be guaranteed the funds.

Once again, I sent the additional funds via MoneyGram and they were received and on Saturday (06.02.07) I still had not received anything. I called on Monday (06.04.07) and upon much run-around that they gave me by putting me on hold and such I was able to speak with Ben Fishler again who explained to me that the Accounting Department informed him that the Lender had backed out of the agreement and that they found another lender that would be able to approve the loan. At this point I became enraged and demanded a refund. He told me that I would received a refund check on 06.16.07. I am very skeptical and plan to take this to the fullest extent possible.

I called MoneyGram on Sunday 06/03/07 and made them aware that this company is a scam so that other people won't get duped. I have filed a complaint with FTC and have called the Ontario Provincial Police who informed me to contact my local police department. I have gone so far as to contact EasyTel Communications Canada which for those of you who have been dealing with this company can tell that is the company that provides them the phone service.

I was able to speak with the Head of Loss/Fraud Department in that company and made him aware of what this company is doing. He also was helpful and told me I can contact Phonebusters.ca. He gave me his name (Eric Schwartz) and told me that he would be more than willing to cooperate with the authorities as much as possible.

I would like to get in contact with all of those who have been scammed so that we may be able to get to the bottom of this and put these people behind bars. I was going to use this loan money for a very much needed surgery that my 6 year old daughter needs this Wednesday and unfortunately have exhausted all funds including the last $1830 that I had sent to these scam artists. These people have no heart and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
