I am an ex-enployee of Central Florida Toyota sales department,I started working for this company early 2000 (April,00), during my interview for employment I was informed about the pay plan for the sales personnel, I agrre to it and started working, I was doing very well years after year, then in 2003, a new General Manger came in and changed everything, the new pay plan was 20% on front end and 15% of the 75% back end, I was still doing good and I was happy, until one day. early 2004, I found out that I was being rip-off of most of my commission, when I saw the net profit in the computer and when I got paid it was completely diferent from what I saw earlier.

Then I went back to many of my deals and try to find out if I was being cheated by "mistake" as they said, when I tried to check into it, the finance manager almost go fired by the GM and was repprimended by him.

During my four+years that I worked for this company I have reason to believe that if they ever get audited by the government they will have to pay lot of back-commission they never pay us, In have every single purchase order and commission slip since day one until I left the company in July 2004.

There is a little catch to the reason I have never filed a complain, it is that my brother and nefew are still working for this company and I am afraid that they will be fired when they find out about me complaining against them, I would like to know if there is any lawyer who will be willing to take over this case and I will file a law suite against this powerful monster (UAG) United Auto Group and Central Florida Toyota.

Just to mention one little incident,I sold a used car to a customer early 2004, (I have the name, date price and the commisiion slip ) according the the figures in the computer (which I am not supouse to know) the entire gross benefit was $3300. front end, when I got paid I got $ 50.00 ("a mini deal") when I asked the finance manager about the gross he stated that it was $3300., then I whent to the GM and he started checking in the computer and asked me how I found out about the gross profit for this particular vehicle, that is when I told him the name of the mngr. and he called this guy and almost fired him on the spot

I could hear him saying that we were not supouse to know that, then he returned back to me and told me that the slip was right and there was not profit in this deal. The manager who also was a salesman before, told me that he was very sorry but he couldn't affort to loose his job. I understand I said to him.

If there is any one out there who want to take on this monster to court, I will be more than happy to filed a law suit, PS: like me there are many more sales people who feel the same way I do, but no one believe that they can figh this people because they are so big and powerful that we can never win this fight.

ummm eh?

With respect to your comment Paul.

Are you saying its cool to let a dealer rip you off?

So lets say you make a average of 1000.00 a week..
And lets say your getting skimmed on your profit @ 15% or 150 bucks a week hmmm 150...that is $7800.00 a year to ALLOW them to skim you on the numbers on money that should be yours in the first place.

Take no offense bro, But I would have a real hard time paying my dealership 5-7k a year to work for them

Good selling!

Forget all the commission and gross profit nonsense!

Look at what you make each week.

If you take home $1000 or more most weeks, then stay and keep your mouth shut and stay out of their computer.

If you only take home $350 each week, then leave.

So simple.

The fine line, Some dealers will place a "pack" to protect the profit on the car....which in turn yanks sometimes quite a bit of profit.

I have a few questions.
Do they have a dealer pack?
Did you ever sign anything to the affect of "dealer defines what comissionable gross is"?
I once worked for a dealer that "Defined the gross" And was a true ripoff.

Some dealers will place a "pack" to protect the profit on the car....which in turn yanks sometimes quite a bit of profit.

And if you see the invoice, then you can see the profit -pack

I hope they are letting you see at least the invoice price!

good luck and good selling
