Central Kia Of Lewisville is a scam (Misty, sales agent or receptionist?) Lewisville Texas

I had a similar experience with Central Kia.

I filled out the online pre-approval application. It said "congratulations, you've been approved" Within fifteen minutes I received a phone call from "Misty" at Central Kia.

She said she needed to get more information and asked about my income and the usual, rent or mortgage blah,blah. Then she asked when I could come up there. I told her that before I wasted my time and hers I wanted to know what my interest rate would be and what the payments would be. Her reply was " Well, I'm a sales person and thats handled by finance but I can have them call you when they get that information."

Just a heads up. I have excellent credit and had already done all the research, what my trade in was worth, what my interest rate should be, what my payments should be. Everything. I even went so far as to pull up and print copies of all KIAAmericas sales reports over the last year that showed that the Sorento sales had been on the decline since '06.

Five hours pass, and still no phone call, so I call them back. (keep in mind, I called the 800 number) Well low and behold, none other than Misty answered the phone. It turned out that she was nothing more than the receptionist!

I asked her what the deal was with the financing on the Sorento that I was interested in. She said let me go get your paperwork and see. When she came back to the phone she told me that the bank would only finance me if I put 30% down or had a co-signer for 10 months. Are they out of their minds!

That's 30% on top of my trade (which by the way KBB trade in value is $4700) and the $4000 cash back from KIA and a dealers incentive of $1000 which would deducted from the price of the car. If they deducted my trade and the cash back, the total cost of the car would have been $7170. Insted they expected me to put 30% of the price before trade, rebate or incentives. That would have been $5061. Do they think I'm an idiot!

I told Misty that just because I would like to have a new car, doesn't mean I need a new car and sure as heck didn't want one that bad and they obviously didn't want to sell one very bad either.

I wanted to buy a new KIA because I love the one I have and I've had two before it but I will NEVER do business with any one of the three Central Kia Dealerships.

I'm just thankful that I had the experience of being a record and contracts analyst so I saw a red flag.

After reading all of the complaints I am so glad I didn't deal with them but for some reason central kia of Lewisville or Kia central has no complaints on the BBB. I don't know how they managed that because I saw that many of you wrote that you saw that they did.
