Republic to get a person out here. They told me to call Central Plains Repair,
and that is when my nightmare began. The company stated they would come that
day but never gave a time frame. After waiting several hours, I called the
phone # for them, and spoke to the most un professional woman I have ever
talked to on the phone. This woman representing this company was so rude, and
had a lot of attitude and was making her company look real bad. Not to mention
I could hear the tv blaring in the background. So during this conversation,
again I was given no time frame, such as between 2 and 4 he will be there,
instead she tells me to be "patient", and she argued with me, and
told me she was not having attitude and being rude, which she was. This all
happened before the clown technician showed up. At this point I called Old
Republic for a list of other A/C Repair companies because I did not like how un
professional this company was. During this time ,after speaking to this rude
receptionist, the Technician finally calls and says he is on the way. So we
decided okay he is on the way, let them come. So this joker shows up, and my
husband and him go to where the A/C unit is. The man tells my husband it was
just the capacitor, takes out the brand new one, that was there and put in
another, which we can only presume it was not new since it just came out of a
bin, and was not in wrapped like when it is new. He does nothing else and
states that this will fix it and leaves. This man was not even five minutes at
our home, and claims that a problem we had been having for about 8 hours now
was " fixed" in five minutes or less!! My husband even felt that the
capacitator he took had nothing wrong with it, as we just had that replaced
three months ago, and this one was brand new in box. He asked him if he was
sure this part was bad, and to shut him up, he just goes, " Well I've been
doing this 20 years", as if his word is just law. I think common sense was
setting in, because this part this man took was brand new, the company that put
it in, told my husband when the capacitor is bad it sells up. Not only that the
other A/C company gave my husband the old capacitor that was swollen up at the
top, to show him what it looks like when it is bad. We felt like he just stole
our brand new part and put in an old one and said hey its fixed and left. After
all this, the A/C was still not working, it was 102 outside, 91 inside my home,
and I have two kids under four years old, who where over heated and we where so
upset that this man claims he fixed it but yet it still is not working. So my
husband calls them back to get them back out, the lady claims that he will come
back out and is just at other "jobs", yea probably robing their good
parts. This man never shows up again, and send a text to my husband to tell him
things happen and he cant come back till Monday, and gives him no time frame at
all. By this time we blew up, how in the world can you run a company like
this?? I called Old Republic and told them there was no way I wanted this
company fixing my A/C, they stopped the work order and assigned it to a better
company. What a HUGE difference, everyone we dealt with was so professional and
nice. The repair man came out on a Sunday, he said I will be there at 2pm, and
he was here at 1:30pm, and called he would come out earlier than stated. The
man spent 2 hours at our home, that is how much repair we really needed not
five minutes or less!! He found the capacitor that idiot put in, not was it wired
wrong, but was also the wrong size and would have never worked for our five ton
unit. Then he had to put in a hard start kit and our fan needed a capacitor
too, all in all he installed four parts to get our A/C to work, and do you know
this man got the A/C to work, I wanted to hug the man, I just could not
believe the difference between the two companies.

This is just one comment from an obviously disgruntled customer. She stated that I had the TV on during the day while working. I can personally tell you that I rarely watch TV and certainly during the day. She states I was rude, and maybe it did come across to her that way but it was not the intention. I accepted her work order during the middle of the day during an exceptionally hot period. I told her we would work her into our schedule if she could just be patient, and no I did not give her a time frame, which is where the patient part comes in. She was not patient. I don't remember how many times she called asking where the technician was. She called me in her statement a "receptionist". I am the owner, I personally take all the calls and deal with the homeowners and warranty companies. I have been doing this for a long time. I have many repeat customers, even after they no longer have their home warranties. My technician at the time, and none of my technicians then or now, would ever steal a part from anyone. I work for home warranty companies and I try very hard to please everyone. Sometimes that just isn't possible.
In the heat of the summer, we do our very best to get to everyone that we have work orders for. If you think about the volume of business that we do, a couple of complaints is not abnormal.
I have been without air conditioning and also without heat, as the owner, during extremely busy times because the homeowner is more important to me.
I do my very best to keep scheduled times for appointments but there can be unforeseen circumstances.... for example: a very tricky problem, traffic, accidents, vehicle breakdowns.
All I ask of my customers is to have a little understanding if these issues do arise. I take great pride in my company and my technicians.
