This company tried to take money when they did not even own this account and verbally harassed me when I would not play along. They lie and cheat. I am on a mission now to put this company out of business. They like to pass you around the office to speak with different people. Good guy , Bad guy, to try and broker unrealistic deals. When one calls them out on their dishonesty they simply hang up.

This company has caused me a lot of time and trouble and money. I was able to keep them from my bank account. But, I did have to change Banks and my money coming in will be delayed until a lot of stupid paper work is filled out I let them know about the trouble they have caused me and Mark laughed and said see ya in court. There is no end to the rudeness and harassment from this company. No remorse from them when they get it wrong.

Now by working with a more reputable company, I have managed to get somewhere with taking care of this debt. Many of us have debt and its company's like Central Portfolio that make it very hard to get out of a bad situation. I would love to see this company put out of business. have

I read your report and as a former employee, I can tell you that Haster Law Office is a very real and reputible company. Judging by the general nature of your report, I seems obvious to me that you probably negotiated a settlement on a debt that you incurred and was unable to meet your obligations. (I.E. You set up a check to settle your account on an out of court basis and when the company ran your check you again were not able to meet your legal obligation.) I can't say for sure one way or the other but this is something that happens from time to time when a check is authorized by the person owing the debt changes their mind about wanting to pay the money back on a voluntary basis, either because they don't have the money or because they just decide they don't want to.
Its also very normal for a creditor to outsource the collection of their unpaid accounts to either collection agencies or law firms to act on the debt owners behalf.
