Central Publication Services CPS Beware of telephone sweepstakes scams-you could be the next victim! Draper, Utah

I was telephoned by a company with a local phone number of 954-278-8322 and an automated voice of woman named Jennifer answers, stating "this is Jennifer with Rewards Redemption".  I then pushed #1 on the phone to claim my prize and then they direct you to a live person who goes on to tell you that you have won a redemption giftcard, and I believe it was $1,000 and then they go on to tell you they will send you a diamond watch, then the spill starts where they tell you that you will also receive 4 magazines and they will send you the weekly TV guide, along with the other 4 magazines for only $4.99 a week.  So you figure you going to pay about $20.00 a month for the magazines, then they start fast talking about that you will have to pay $4.99 a week for the total of 60 months and that you will only pay for 19 months and the total would be $68 or so a month. I questioned this deal and said I couldn't afford that and the salesman tried to cut the payment down to $39.31 a month for how ever many months.  I had already given him my credit card number, thinking I'm gonna pay $20.00.  When I tell him that I'm not sure about the whole deal and that it made me feel unconfortable, he said I already approved them to charge my card.  I asked if he cancel the entire deal and he said no, they already charged my card and that they will be sending me a packet in the next few days and that I had 3 days to decide if I wanted the deal or not.  In the meantime, they took the money out of my account then and there.  I really couldn't afford for the $39.31 to be taken out.  This situation will make me more on guard in dealing with phone sales and internet scams.  I have already informed my bank and canceled my credit card so they couldn't continue to take more money out, I don't have.  Be careful!!!
