I received a call from Lindsey, who let me know exactly which credit card offers that I had been applying for about 6 months prior. She also said that the company's name was Centurion Bank, and that they work with American Express as well; hence the name American Express Centurion card. Since she made so much sense, and knew about my other applications,I fell for it. She asked me a few questions, and then transferred me over to a federally secured line, where we would begin recording my information for approval. I spoke to an operator named Jeffrey, and we went throught the process. It was indicated that I was to have $249.00 taken from my bank account upon receipt of my activation package. I agreed, not knowing that it was against the law for them to do so. I waited 25 days, and called back a phone number that I was given that has a recorded voice telling you that it is "customer Service". No company name or anything!
I called a few times, and got hung up on, got tranferred to an answering machine, got sworn at, and told that they are a customer service company working for many businesses, and even though I had given them my information, they had no access to it.

I was told that I was to receive an activation kit, and when I sent that in with another payment, the card would be sent to me. That wasn't what I heard the first time! This was yesterday. That is my last call to them. It was very wierd how when I told the woman that I had contacted the authorities she began to affect an accent. I called my bank, and now am on my way to changing my bank account to avoid any future charges, and having these current charges reversed. Do not fall for this! I know it is hard, because when they are talking to you they have information which is legit in itself. Over the past few months I have had a spy blocker placed on my computer, and have been cleaning things up here. There is no other possible way they could have gotten the information they had.
