I also have been mislead from Certapro painters.

The Franchise owner gave me a professional estimate. It spelled out in detail all they would do.

Their website show several painters with many years experience.
The crew chief came to our home to put a sign on my lawn.
He said his crew may be the one coming to paint the house.
When the crew finally arrived my wife called me an said we have a problem.

She explained theere were 5 men in a cargo van with ladders on top and could not speak english.
We allowed them to start the paint job. The next day front and back sides of our Red Cedar shingles were gouged as much as 3/16".
We told the crew to stop all work.
Certa pro owner was abusive to us and refused to pay damages.

We are currently having all our siding replaced with a professional siding company then painted.
Once I get the final bill I will be filing a lawsuit against CertaPro.

CertaPro's Insurance paid for the siding replacement.

AUTHOR: scam painter - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, December 24, 2010

I want to update the status of my charges.

In the process of filing a lawsuit CertaProreported the damage to their insurance company.

The adjuster came and viewed the old siding I had saved, he measured everthing and sent me a check in 5 days.

Our home is back the what it should have been had I initially called a responsible painting company. Our advice is to use cautionif youhire CertaPro. Do not expect to get what they state on their website or in person. If you do get what you expected then our report has prompted them to shape uptheir act or a new CertaPro owner is now in charge.

assertion unfounded

AUTHOR: scam painter - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, August 02, 2010

I am the home owner.

If the siding was warped and needed more attention than anticipated then why didn't Mr Nadeau, the owner and estimator pick this up? I would have assumed so as he claims to be a professional.

Could it be this assertion made in the rebuttal by the Certapro owner is unfounded?

CertaPro offered siding replacement and was refused

AUTHOR: CertaPro of Southern NH - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

CertaPro Painters has been and fully intents on continuing to be a professional organization with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.  Going above and beyond expectation is likely where the issues started.  This customer was given an estimate and contracted with our company to paint the house.  Once our crew was on site, they made a professional decision to alter the original proposal in an effort to improve the appearance of the siding.  The problem stems from many years of neglect and lack of upkeep making the siding dried out and warped.  Therefore, the crew used a rotary sander because the siding was warped to the point that a palm or belt sander could not be used.  In doing this, more of the siding was affected than anticipated.

The customer phoned the office with his concerns.  Upon a site visit, the customer was given a couple of options by the foreman such as using wood filler or replacing the siding.  After considering his options the customer left a message at the office saying he decided to have his siding replaced.  Another site visit was arranged the next day to meet with him to discuss the issues and how he would like to see it resolved.  A mutual agreement was made that the siding needed to be replaced.

At this time we told him we would have our carpenter come in to replace the affected siding at our expense.  The customer then refused to let us fix the problem saying he would have it fixed by his carpenter and send us a bill.  We again said several times that we would have our carpenter fix the siding but the customer got abusive and made insulting and derogatory comments about our company and crew.  This seemed out of place as we had offered to have our carpenter fix the siding.

As a professional painting company, our mission is customer service.  We would like nothing more than to correct the problem using our carpenter so that we know a quality job will be performed.  We can provide numerous referrals and testimonials to our work ethic and superior customer service.  It is our opinion that we tried to fix the problem and by posting exaggerated claims is slander.

They also did not do any caulking as stated in the contract.

The paint they applied was dripping and flashed.
