Chad's Handyman Service LLC Chad Goodwin Poor quality work, inflated charges, threats Denver Colorado

I was provided a bid on work to be done at my townhome.  I was led to believe that Chad was capable of completing the tasks bid on.  The work was bid as a job, not by the hour.  When I noticed that hinge pins had been installed improperly on hinges that were replaced on a door, I became concerned about the contractor's competency.  I also noticed that he was improperly and poorly patching holes in floor baseboard and walls.  He was also taking an extraordinary long period time to complete the tasks bid on.  When I confronted him with my concerns, he immediately threatened me with a lawyer and lien on my property.  He was very belligerent in person and in subsequent text messages.  When I received his bill, it was clearly inaccurate, very inflated in price and based upon an hourly rate. I received more threats of a lien being filed on my property.  When I hired a contractor to complete the work Chad refused to complete when I questioned his work, I discovered that he had damaged a pipe in a tub drain pipe, which cost me $450 to repair.  He also gouged my brand new floor when removing sliding doors to the patio.  Those floor boards will need to be replaced at additional cost to me.

Chad is not only imcompetent, but he is also dishonest and a bully.  He bullied both my son and me when we tried to reason with him over payment of the bill.  I paid him more than I should have, but he no longer bullies and badgers us for money.  I am filing this report in an attempt to keep him from ripping off another unsuspecting individual/family.  Don't be taken in by his seemingly honest and reasonable fees.  He is anything but honest and very incompetent!!
