Do not apply to Chambers Bottling Company or AKA Coca Cola in Huntsville, Alabama. This is why. I was unemployed and job searching. Chambers Bottling called. I was exited to get a call from any company in these times. As the phone conversation progressed I asked what it paid. I was told by Nancy that the pay started out at $12.03 per hour. I was very excited about this because it wasn't much of a drop from my last job. Fast forward now. I go in to the face to face interview. As this progresses the truth finally comes out. Nancy said that while training I would make $12.03 per hour but after training when I get my own route the pay will be $250 a week base pay plus 5.1% of the route. I asked how long the hours were each day. Nancy stated that work starts at 6 a,m. and u would get off about 3 p.m. Let's just fast forward even more. After riding and training with a couple guys everything became clear. The work days were really 12 hours because for every $1000 u make is $50 which is your 5.1%. So take $250 a week base pay plus another $250 in percentage pay because your route will vary is only $500 to 550 a week before taxes. Now take that $500 to $550 and divide it by 60 hours. It is way less per hour than when you started. About $8 and something an hour. How in the heck do they expect anyone to live on that? And that figure was before taxes come out so your pay per hour will be less. Shame on Chambers Bottling Company in Huntsville, Alabama for not telling the truth over the phone. This company will make it all sound good but just talk to people there and you will find out they are only there until they find something else.
